Reach new altitudes with the 1491 Taser Launch Set from Estes. This model rocket launch set will fly up to 1,100 feet in the air with the included complete launch system. After liftoff, this rocket will accelerate to its peak, deploy a recovery system complete with a parachute, and make a safe landing. Insert recovery wadding and a new engine, and you'll be good to fly again and again!

Reach for the Sky with Model Rocketry

The Taser Launch Set includes everything your launch pad needs; all you need to add is an engine and a few accessories to build a strong rocket. Each component is made either with metal or sturdy plastic, and assembly is straightforward with the included step-by-step instructions. Some adult assembly may be necessary, which makes this a good collaborative exercise!

When launching, connect the rocket set to the launch controller with the included key. Push down hard, and the bulb will light. While holding the key down firmly, start your countdown, and press the launch button firmly until liftoff. The rocket will accelerate quickly into the sky, and the recovery system will engage to bring your rocket back to the ground.

Choose Your Estes Engine for Rocket Power

This Launch Set needs an Estes Engine for power. Choose from six different engines that will give you a projected altitude range between 200 and 1,100 feet. The Launch Set includes a helpful Estes rocketeer's guide to help you learn more about the different engines. Our testers appreciated this guide, as it educated them enough to explore more about Estes options in model rocketry.

The Taser is a stunning rocket that’s capable of subduing anything out there that’s dangerous! The Taser Launch Set from Estes is an exciting, radically designed high altitude rocket launch set from the E2X (Easy to Assemble) series. The rocket kit features a brightly colored one piece body tube, molded plastic fin set and bullet shaped nose cone. Simply glue a few rocket pieces together, apply the colorful self-stick decals and in less than an hour you’ll be ready for the launch pad! The Taser rocket is 16.5 inches (41.9 cm) tall. With its custom three-fin design, it climbs to an outta sight altitude of over 1,000 feet (305 m). A bright-colored 12 inch (30 cm) preassembled parachute returns this rocket back to the launch site. You’ll be ready in minutes for another extreme launch experience! This launch set comes complete with the Taser rocket, Estes controller and launch pad. Glue, engines and 4 AA batteries required (for your controller) - sold separately. Recommended for ages 10 and up with adult supervision for those under 12.
